this didn't turn out how i had hoped it would, as my scanner refuses to pick up half the colours actually on the picture. after the third scan attempt this is the best quality image i could get onto my computer. ^.x; sorry if it looks a bit rough, i cleaned it with the clone tool.
still, i had fun with the colouring of this! i used nearly all shades of my colour pencils on it and happily scribbled for ages onto a photocopy of the inked version (the origional was too small to colour, i draw TINY).
this was finished before christmas, but i wasn't able to get my laptop up and running with photoshop until very recently.
so, the second part of the comission is finished! yay!
(which would've been the best category for this? it's not a picture of a 'real' cat, it's not anthro and it's not really cartoony either)
XD Nice!
Pretty freakin' sweet. My original notion of this dude was a normally proportioned big cat rather than a biped, but some of the other people from the (now broken and slowly being repaired) chat ended up changing it for me with their imaginations.
I'll note'cha.

Awww, it's cute. ^_^
And I like the colors--even if they didn't pick up right.
(What DPI did you can at, and can you up the DPI? I refuse to scan without high DPI now. I have yet to try a COLORED picture, however. o_o I used to scan default DPI, whatever it was for the scanner...then 600... NOW I scan at 1200 DPI. o_o;; heheh. It takes a while to scan, but I think it looks a lot nicer that way... Also creates big files, but doesn't matter once you resize.)
i scan at 600 dpi as my laptop can't handle 1200. ^x; i should be getting extra memory for my computer soon, so i'm hoping it'll be able to run photoshop properly then!
Ah, I see. And ahw, that's too bad!
I'm luckily my computer can even handle it. o_O
It can't handle above 1200 DPI, though. I tried 3600 or whatever the next up was...wouldn't let me. ^_^;; And not that I need to, 1200 is good enough far as I can tell. Works perfect for pencil sketches, haven't tried color, like I said...then again, haven't colored anything recently. lol
Ah, well I hope you are able to get your extra memory soon and what not! ^_^ So you can scan a bit higher and run Photoshop properly, hopefully!
